Job description

Holly Vet Clinic is an independent practice serving Kenmore and the greater Seattle area. We perform a variety of advanced surgical procedures and routine dental cases, supported by a calm, organized workflow and a strong anesthesia safety culture. We are seeking a licensed veterinary technician with proven experience in dental X-rays, charting, and extractions, as well as anesthesia and surgical assisting. Responsibilities

  • Run technician-led dental workflow: periodontal charting, full mouth dental radiographs, scaling and polishing, extractions as directed
  • Assist in advanced soft tissue procedures from patient prep to recovery, following safety checklists
  • Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia; place IV catheters; run CRIs (fentanyl, lidocaine, ketamine) per protocol
  • Operate and clean LigaSure electrosurgery equipment; maintain dental and surgical instruments and areas
  • Perform phlebotomy, cystocentesis, in-house diagnostics; maintain accurate medical records and client communication

Qualifications

  • Active Washington State Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
  • Proven experience with dental X-rays, charting, and extractions
  • Competence in anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting; confident with continuous rate infusions (CRIs)
  • Ability to scrub for orthopedic training preferred
  • IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, and cystocentesis
  • Calm under pressure with clear communication skills by phone, text, and email
  • Able to lift 40 lb safely and work collaboratively in a busy hospital

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch
  • Surgical and dental procedures are typically scheduled in the morning, with discharges and charting completed around 3:00–4:00 PM
  • When the day’s procedures, cleaning, and discharges are complete and standards of care are met, team members may wrap up early
  • Expectation of approximately two dentals per day
