Holly Vet Clinic is hiring a full-time Veterinary Receptionist in Kenmore, Washington, near Seattle. We are an independently owned small animal veterinary practice looking for an organized, dependable, and personable team member to support our clients, patients, veterinarians, and veterinary assistants.
This position is a good fit for someone with strong customer service experience who enjoys working with people and animals in a professional healthcare environment. Previous veterinary receptionist or animal hospital experience is preferred, but it is not required.
Our veterinary reception team plays an important role in the client experience. You will help pet owners schedule appointments, check in and check out patients, communicate with the veterinary team, process payments, answer phones and emails, and help keep daily front-desk operations organized.

Pay
$18–$22 per hour depending on experience.
Schedule
Full-time, five days per week, approximately 8:45 AM–5:00 PM.

Veterinary Receptionist Responsibilities
The Veterinary Receptionist serves as one of the primary points of contact between Holly Vet Clinic and our clients. Responsibilities include front-desk operations, appointment scheduling, client communication, and coordination with the clinical team.
- Greet clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner
- Check veterinary patients in and out for appointments
- Schedule wellness, sick-patient, follow-up, and procedure appointments
- Answer incoming telephone calls and assist clients with general questions
- Respond to and coordinate client email communication
- Relay messages accurately between clients, veterinarians, and veterinary support staff
- Process client payments and assist with checkout
- Maintain accurate front-desk and client information
- Assist with maintaining an organized reception area
- Help maintain a clean and welcoming veterinary clinic environment
- Work collaboratively with veterinarians and veterinary assistants throughout the day
Veterinary Receptionist Qualifications
Previous veterinary experience is helpful, but we are also interested in applicants with strong customer service backgrounds who can learn veterinary workflows and terminology.
- Customer service experience is required
- Previous veterinary receptionist, veterinary clinic, or animal hospital experience is preferred but not required
- Professional and friendly communication skills
- Comfortable communicating with clients by telephone, email, and in person
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities during a busy clinic day
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working around dogs and cats
- Able to work effectively with veterinarians, veterinary assistants, and other team members
Customer Service Experience in a Veterinary Setting
Veterinary reception combines traditional customer service with the unique needs of a medical environment. Pet owners may contact the clinic when they are worried, confused, or trying to coordinate care for a sick pet, so clear and compassionate communication is important.
Experience in veterinary medicine is preferred, but strong candidates may also come from customer service, medical reception, dental reception, hospitality, administrative support, or other client-facing environments.
